Most of our machined timbers are now on a 10 working day lead time, our Extra Wide Timber is on a 12 working day lead time & our Cut to Size & Full Wood Sheets are on a 8 working day lead time. With attractive visual characteristics and a resistant surface, Canadian maple can be used for a range of applications. Canadian Hard Maple can be polished and stained to create an exquisite finish. It also glues and finishes very well, however, due to the high density of the wood, it may require a little extra work. Working Qualities: Considered to be reasonably easy to work with when using both hand and machine tools. It can be susceptible to insect attack unless finished and cared for correctly. Strength: A strong, hard, abrasion resistant and high density timber, but typically non-durable, making it far more effectively suited to interior projects. The Timber: A premium grade timber with a straight or subtly wavy grain, a fine texture and an appealing overall finish.
